A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING �fL
SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF THE HEMLOCK STREET
RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, a portion of the Hemlock Street right-of-way was
heretofore dedicated to the City of Redding on the Map of Marvin
Gardens filed for record on November 20, 1986, in Book 18 of Maps
at page 34, Shasta County Records; and
WHEREAS, Three Seasons Development, Inc. has requested a
realignment of Hemlock Street to match the location in Unit 2 of
the Meadow Creek Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for the City abandoning that portion of
Hemlock Street described in Exhibit "A" and shown on the map
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference (Easement
#1) , the owners of Assessor' s Parcel No. 050-460-13 , EMMOR W.
LITTLE, JR. , and LEE LITTLE, husband and wife, have granted to
the City a permanent easement for street and public service
purposes (Easement #2) , a recorded copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding
has duly investigated the proposed abandonment of Easement #1, in
exchange for Easement #2, and has advised the City Council that
there is no indication that Easement #1 will ever be required,
and that there are no utilities located within the proposed area
of abandonment; and
WHEREAS, it is believed by and appears to the City Council
of the City of Redding that, with the recording of Easement #2,
Easement #1 will not be necessary for a street right-of-way; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding elects to
proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public
Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law as the same
is set forth in Section 8300, et seq. , of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders that:
1 . With the recording of Easement #2 in favor of the City
of Redding, Easement #1 is no longer required and may be vacated
as a street right-of-way.
2. The City Clerk of the City of Redding is hereby
directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, attested
to by the City Clerk under seal of the City of Redding, in the
office of the Shasta County Assessor/Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 15th day of October , 1991, and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

Records, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northerly terminus of the East line of said
Future Extension of Hemlock Drive; thence, along said East line,
S. 2 °42122" E. (shown as S. 2 °43134" E. on said map of Marvin
Gardens) , a distance of 60. 69 feet to a point of cusp; thence,
from a tangent that bears N. 2 °42122" W. , along a curve to the
left, having a radius of 330. 00 feet, through a central angle of
5°4311011, an arc distance of 32 .94 feet; thence, N. 8 °25132" W. ,
32 .83 feet to a point on the Northeasterly line of said Future
Extension of Hemlock Drive; thence, along said Northeasterly
