A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION FROM THE
CALIFORNIA PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION FOR A
$5,000 MINI-GRANT FOR THE CALIFORNIA OPERATION BUCKLE DOWN
MINI-GRANT PROGRAM AND, IF FUNDED, AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF SAID FUNDS FOR THE PROMOTION OF A PRENATAL
AND POSTNATAL SEAT BELT USE PROGRAM ENTITLED "SAF-T-BELT,"
SAVE A FETUS THROUGH BELT EMPLOYMENT AND LIFESAVING
TECHNIQUES.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding
as follows:
1 . The City Council of the City of Redding hereby approves the
filing of a Grant Application from the California Peace Officers
Association Foundation for a $5,000 mini-grant for the California
Operation Buckle Down Mini-Grant Program.
2 . The City Manager of the City of Redding is hereby
authorized and directed to sign said Grant Application and any other
documentation in connection therewith; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to attest the signature of the City Manager
and to impress the official seal of the City of Redding thereto.
3 . If funded, Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of
said funds for the promotion of a prenatal and postnatal seat belt
use program entitled "SAF-T-BELT," SAVE A FETUS THROUGH BELT
EMPLOYMENT AND LIFESAVING TECHNIQUES.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced

and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of y�
Redding on the J,St day of October , 1991, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote:
