RESOLUTION NO. -.3 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF
APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF REDDING REQUESTING THE LOCAL
AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDDING OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED CITY OF REDDING ANNEXATION NO. 91-3 (SACRAMENTO
RIVER WATERWAYS)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Redding desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to
the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3,
commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the
annexation to the City of Redding of the uninhabited territory designated City of
Redding Annexation No. 91-3 (SACRAMENTO RIVER WATERWAYS) ; and
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited and a
description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" and
depicted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, this proposal is not consistent with the existing sphere of
influence of the City of Redding and the City of Redding is requesting that the
Sphere of Influence be amended to include the parcels within this annexation
boundary; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to provide that the proposed annexation be subject
to the following terms and conditions:
None: and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows:
To facilitate the application and enforcement of the City's "River
Regulations" along the entire course of the Sacramento River from the north to
the south boundary of Redding; and
WHEREAS, a plan for providing services within the affected territory is set
forth in Exhibit "C" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, as
required by Government Code Section 56653;
NOW, THEREFORE, this resolution is hereby adopted and approved by the
City Council of the City of Redding, and the Local Agency Formation Commission

of Shasta County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the annexation of .�
territory as described in Exhibit "A," according to the terms and conditions

stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government G.
Reorganization Act of 1985.
RESCINDED BY RESOLumii 91-417
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding is
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution, along with
appropriate fees, with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Shasta County.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and read
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 20th day of
August 1991, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following
vote:

ANNEXATION 91-3(a)
All that real property situate in the State of California, County of
Shasta, bounded on the East by the easterly high-water line of the
Sacramento River; on the West by the centerline of the Sacramento
River; on the North by the northerly boundary of Rothers Riverside
Subdivision as shown on that certain map filed for record in Book 7,
of Maps at Page 18, Shasta County Records; and on the South by the
westerly prolongation of the southerly line of that certain parcel
deeded to Henry and Irene Rother, and recorded November 21, 1967
in Book 935 of Official Records at Page 678, Shasta County Records.

ANNEXATION 91-3(b)
All that real property situate in the State of California, County of
Shasta, bounded on the East by the easterly high-water line of the
Sacramento River; on the South by the northeasterly prolongation of
the northwesterly line of Parcel No. 1, as shown on the map recorded
August 7, 1978 in Book 15 of Parcel Maps at Page 118, Shasta County
Records; on the North by the westerly prolongation of the southerly
line of that certain parcel described in a deed to Paul B. Stratte and
Helen Stratte recorded in Book 729 Official Records at Page 527,
Shasta County Records; and on the West by the westerly high-water
line of the Sacramento River from said northerly boundary to the
southeasterly prolongation of the section line between Sections 27 and
28, P. B. Reading Grant; and continuing easterly along said section
line to a point of intersection with the centerline of said River; and
southerly and easterly along said centerline to the southerly
boundary as described above.
