RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEDD-
ING AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION WITH
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
DIVISION OF AERONAUTICS, UNDER THE CALIFORNIA AID TO
AIRPORTS PROGRAM (CAAP) FOR AIRCRAFT PARKING APRON
i REHABILITATION PROJECT AT BENTON AIRPARK, AND AUTHO-
RIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE
I DOCUMENTS; AND CERTIFYING AS TO THE AVAILABILITY OF
MATCHING FUNDS BY THE CITY OF REDDING TO PAY 10% OF
THE COSTS OF SAID PROJECT.
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the cost of the Aircraft Park-
ing Apron Rehabilitation Project at Benton Airpark is $141 ,000 ;
and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Division of Aeronautics,
under the California Aid to Airports Program, provides financial
assistance to public entities in the form of grants under the

general provisions of California Public Utilities Code Section
21602 ; and
WHEREAS, the State will pay 900 of the cost of the Aircraft
Parking Apron Rehabilitation Project, up to a maximum of $126,900,
with the City of Redding to pay 100 of the costs of said Project;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Redding
that said grant be acquired; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that said grant application, be
filed as soon as possible;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Redding hereby authoriz-
es the filing of a grant application with the State of California,
Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics, for 900 of
the costs of the Aircraft Parking Apron Rehabilitation Project at
Benton Airpark, in the amount of $126,900. 00.
2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said grant
application and any other necessary documents to obtain the grant
funds.
3 . That the City of Redding has matching funds available to pay
100 of the costs of said Aircraft Parking Apron Rehabilitation
Project.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 16th day of July 1991, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
