HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2632 - Adopt an Amendment to COR Zoning Map - Rezoning Hild Collision Center Property And Second Baptist Prop RZ-2017-00430 1571 E Cypress St and 2562 Bunker St ORDINANCE NO. 2632 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP RELATING TO THE REZONING OF THE HILD COLLISION CENTER PROPERTY AND THE SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH PROPERTY (APN 067-480-048- 000, A PORTION OF 067-480-054-000, 067-480-052-000, AND 067-480-018- 000) CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 1.80 ACRES LOCATED AT 2559 OXFORD ROAD, 1561 E. CYPRESS AVE, 1571 E CYPRESS AVE, AND 2562 BUNKER ST IN THE CITY OF REDDING (RZ-2017-00430) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Finding offact: the City finds and declares as follows: A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made part of Redding Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance. B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to said amendment on December 8th, 2020, for RZ-2017-00430 to allow for the expansion of the auto body repair business to include an existing 2,496 square foot building to be converted to a new main office building, and construction of a new 4,000 square foot shop, and the expansion of the site to add a new vehicle storage area as identified in Site Development Permit Application SDP-2017-00428 and recommended that the City Council determine the project is categorically exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act and approve the project and the attached amendment to the Zoning Map. C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on January 19, 2021 prior to the first reading of this ordinance. D. The proposed amendment to the Zoning Map is consistent with the General Plan. E. Adoption of this ordinance will not adversely impact the welfare of the citizens of the City of Redding and its surrounding region. Section 2. The boundaries of the districts referred to in Section 18.01.050 of the Redding Municipal Code, as designated on a map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding, California," dated January 7, 2003, are hereby altered as set forth on the map attached hereto and made part hereof by: LOCATION: Approximately 1.80 Acres located at 2559 Oxford Rd., 1561 E. Cypress Ave., 1571 E. Cypress Ave, and 2562 Bunker St. in the City of Redding FROM: "RM-9" Residential Multiple Family TO: "GC" General Commercial Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption; and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to law.
