A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
SUMMARILY VACATING A 15-FOOT GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT
RECORDED MAY 19, 1982, IN BOOK 1889 AT PAGE 452 OF
OFFICIAL RECORDS OF SHASTA COUNTY (NOW APN 48-270-04) .

WHEREAS, a 15-foot general utility easement in favor of the
City of Redding on property more particularly described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
was recorded on May 19, 1982, in Book 1889 at page 452 of
Official Records of Shasta County (now APN 48-270-04) ; and
WHEREAS, the pole line has been removed from said easement,
and relocated within a 30-foot public service easement in favor
of the City of Redding recorded on March 26 , 1991, in Book 2701
at page 450 of Official Records of Shasta County; and
WHEREAS, the Electric Department of the City of Redding has
duly investigated the proposed abandonment of the 15-foot general
utility easement, and has advised the City Council that there are
no public facilities located in, over, along, upon, under, or
across said easement; and there is no indication the easement
will ever be required; and
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, believed by and appears to the
City Council of the City of Redding that the 15-foot general
utility easement described in Exhibit A attached hereto is no
longer necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding elects to
proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public
Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law as the same
is set forth in Section 8300 , et seq. , of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders that:

1 . The 15-foot general utility easement over the property
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference is no longer necessary, and is hereby vacated.
2 . The City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is
directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, attested
to by the City Clerk under seal of the City of Redding, in the
office of the Shasta County Assessor/Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 18th day of June , 1991, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
