LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 3
CANDLEWOOD ESTATES SUBDIVISION
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDDING TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1991-92.

WHEREAS, City Council has heretofore ordered the formation
II of LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 3 under authority granted
I by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as set forth in Part
2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said District is to provide
maintenance to those landscaping improvements required within the
public right-of-way by the conditions of development approval of
the Candlewood Estates Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the special assessment
upon the land equally amongst the 119 parcels of the Candlewood
Estates Subdivision which encompass the District; and
WHEREAS, no costs for the original improvements will be
assessed against land within the District; all costs of
improvements being a condition of the development of said
( Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs
to the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement
of vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses,
including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be

assessed; and
WHEREAS, the Report of the Engineer, on file with the City
Clerk, contains a full and detailed description of the
improvements, the boundaries of the District, and the proposed
assessments upon assessable lots within said District;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:

1. That all of the above recitals are true and correct.
2 . That the Report of the Engineer on file with the City
1 Clerk, containing a full and detailed description of the
improvements, the boundaries of the District, and the proposed
assessments upon assessable lots within the District, is hereby
! approved by Council.

3 . That a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 21,
1991 , at the hour of 7: 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the
matter may be heard, at the City Council Chambers located at 1313
' California Street, Redding, California, to address the levying of
the proposed assessment for fiscal year 1991-92.
1 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 7th day of May, 1991, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Arness, Dahl, Fulton, Moss & Buffum
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
