HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 91-249 - Amending its Schedule of Fees and Service Charges RESOLUTION NO. 91-,Z �',F A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING ITS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding is charged with the responsibility of establishing municipal policies to guide the various functions of the City and, where necessary, to establish procedures by which said functions are performed; and WHEREAS, regulatory policies established by the City Council are usually adopted by Ordinance and included in the Municipal Code. I However, other policies are also established, which by their nature j do not require adoption by Ordinance; these policy statements, adopted by Resolutions of the City Council, need to be consolidated in a reference document for easy access; and WHEREAS, on October 4 , 1988, by Resolution No. 88-114, the City Council adopted a Schedule of Fees and Service Charges, which was subsequently amended by Resolutions 88-410, 89-56, 89-92, 89-196, 89- 244, 89-251 , 90-2X4, 90-316 , 91-56, 91-104, and 91-198 ; and ( WHEREAS, under Resolution No. 88-364, the City Manager is authorized and directed to revise, supplement, and maintain said Schedule of Fees and Service Charges so that to the greatest extent possible the Schedule will be a comprehensive list of fees for City permits and services; and that a fee that is not on the Schedule will not be invalid but should be made a part of the Schedule at the I earliest possible time; and WHEREAS, City Council wishes to further amend the above- mentioned Schedule of Fees and Service Charges to include an increase for the cost of living adjustment; and WHEREAS, most of the adjustments proposed are based on the change of 5 .5% in the Consumer Price Index for the year ended April 1991; however, fees that are currently subsidized by the General Fund `) f Sb for more than 250 of the cost of services are proposed to be adjusted by 10%; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the current Schedule of Fees and Service Charges is hereby deleted in its entirety, and replaced by the Schedule of Fees and Service Charges attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
