A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE ATTACHED LETTER AGREEMENT DATED JUNE 11, 1990 , BETWEEN THE MEMBERS OF THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA POWER POOL, OF WHICH THE CITY OF REDDING IS A MEMBER, WITH THE CITY OF REDDING' S SHARE NOT TO EXCEED $20 ,000. 00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN SAME. WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of September 15, 1986 , authorized the City to become a member of the Northern California Power Pool (NCPP) ; and WHEREAS, the Electric Department has concluded that continued participation in the NCPP studies is warranted in view of the potential benefits to the City of Redding; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds were included in the Fiscal Year 1991 Budget to continue the City of Redding' s participation in NCPP in an amount not to exceed $20 ,000; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1 . That the City Council of the City of Redding hereby approves continuing the City of Redding' s participation in the Northern California Power Pool, pursuant to the attached Letter Agreement dated June 11, 1990 , with the City' s share of the costs not to exceed $20,000 . 00. 2. That the Mayor of the City of Redding is hereby authorized and directed to sign the June 11, 1990 , Letter Agreement between the members of the Northern California Power l_ Pool, a true copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor and to impress the official seal of the City of Redding thereto. DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS 0 0201 S Street, Sacramento CA 95817-1898 PP 90-121 2 June 8, 1990 The following constitute the terms and conditions of this c:oet sharing agreement: 1. SMUD will contract (SMUD Contract No. D290) with R. W. Beck and Associates for technicall, support of the Northern California Power Pool . 2. Contract amount not to exceed $210, 000, as directed by the NCPP Executive Committee. There was $70, 000 collected in 1989, the balance to be called during calendar .1990. i 3 . All contract costs will be split evenly seven ways. SMUD will notify each party of its Phare of the total costs via cash call letters. Eac;h Party _•hall remit to SMUD wit'ni» thirty (30) calendar days c_' notiilcation. 4 . Monthly expenditure reports and budgets sent to SMUD will be available: to the partners - with status presented at Executive Committee meeting. 5.
