A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AUTHORIZING MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE PLANNING, INC. (MMPI) TO REPLACE COMPRESSORS IN THREE OF THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING UNITS IN THE DOWNTOWN MALL, NOT TO EXCEED $10,500 (APPROXIMATELY $3,500 EACH) FROM FUNDS CURRENTLY HELD IN THE RESTRICTED CASH (RESERVE) ACCOUNT FOR THE DOWNTOWN MALL. WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the compressors in three of the heating and air conditioning units in the Downtown Mall, at a cost not to exceed $10, 500 (approximately $3 ,500 . 00 each) ; and WHEREAS, there are insufficient funds in the 1991-92 budget for these repairs; and WHEREAS, Robert J. Dicker, on behalf of the Mall property owners, has requested that the above repairs be approved and paid I from funds currently held in the Downtown Mall restricted cash (reserve) account [see attached letters I ; and WHEREAS, staff has recommended approval of this request; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council { of the City of. Redding hereby authorizes Mechanical Maintenance Planning, Inc. (MMPI) to replace the compressors in the three heating and air conditioning units in the Downtown Mall mentioned in the attached letter, in an amount not to exceed $10, 500 (approximately $3 , 500 per unit) ; and that such repairs be paid N N from funds currently held in the restricted cash (reserve) account for the Downtown Mall. (MMPI),be retained to perform the necessary repairs to three common area cooling units as per our earlier discussion. We understand that the cost of these repairs will not exceed $10,500.00,or$3,500 per unit,and will be paid for out of the property owners reserve for replacement trust account administered by the City.
