RESOLUTION NO. 9���✓
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING,
EFFECTIVE ON THE DATES SET FORTH BELOW, (1) RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 90-418 AND (2) ESTABLISHING WATER UTILITY RATES
FOR SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF REDDING AND THE BUCKEYE SERVICE AREA.
WHEREAS, Section 14.08.310 of the Redding Municipal Code provides that the
City Council shall establish water utility rates by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the rates for fire hydrant rental have been reevaluated based on
the cost of service, and it has been recommended that City Council adopt a lower
Fire Hydrant Rental rate as set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference; and
'i WHEREAS City Council has carefully considered these recommendations;
reviewed the existing water utility rate structure, and the fire hydrant rental
structure; and studied the costs of operation and maintenance and the capital
improvement program of the water utility; and
WHEREAS, City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of
Redding to establish the new, lower fire hydrant rental rate as proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redding, pursuant to Section 14.08.310 of the Redding Municipal Code, does
hereby approve and adopt as the established rates for municipal water service to
customers within the corporate limits of the City of Redding and the Buckeye Service
Area those rates and charges set forth in the "City of Redding Water Utility Schedule
of Rates" attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be
April 1, 1992, as to the water furnished to customers of the City of Redding and the
Buckeye Service Area water utility after that date for which meter readings occur
on or after April 1, 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 90-418 adopted August 21,
1990, is hereby repealed and rescinded and shall be of no further force and effect
from and after March 31, 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding is
hereby directed to maintain available certified copies of this Resolution for inspection
and review by any interested party or persons.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 3rd day of March,
1992, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
