HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 92-280 - LMD No. 10 East Redding Estates Subdivision, levy and collect assessments for FY 1992-93 1 RESOLUTION NO. 9Q LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 10 EAST REDDING ESTATES SUBDIVISION, UNIT 1 I A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1992-93. WHEREAS, City Council has heretofore ordered the formation of LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 10 under authority granted by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as set forth in Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code; and WHEREAS, the purpose of said District is to provide maintenance to those landscaping improvements required within the public right-of-way by the conditions of development approval of Unit 1 of the East Redding Estates Subdivision; and WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the special assessment upon the land equally amongst the 64 parcels of the East Redding Estates Subdivision, Unit 1, which encompass the District; and WHEREAS, no costs for the original improvements will be assessed against land within the District; all costs of improvements being a condition of the development of Unit 1 of said Subdivision; and WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs to the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses, including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be assessed; and WHEREAS, the Report of the Engineer, on file with the City Clerk, contains a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the District, and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots within said District; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: i`� t 1. That all of the above recitals are true and correct. 2. That the Report of the Engineer on file with the City Clerk, containing a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the District, and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots within the District, is hereby approved by Council. 3 . That a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 1992 , at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers located at 1313 California Street, Redding, California, to address the levying of the proposed assessment for fiscal year 1992-93 .
