A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND THE BUCKEYE FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1992.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby approves the Agreement between the City of Redding and the Buckeye
Fire Protection District, effective July 1, 1992, a true copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Redding is
hereby authorized and directed to sign said Agreement on behalf of the
City of Redding; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to

j attest the signature of the Mayor and to impress the official seal of the
City of Redding thereto.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and
read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on
the 21st day of July , 1992, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the
following vote:

THIS AGREEMENT, effective July 1, 1992, is made and entered
into by and between the CITY OF REDDING, a Municipal Corporation
and General Law City, hereinafter called "CITY," and the BUCKEYE
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, hereinafter called "DISTRICT" :
W I T N E S S E T H:
The parties hereto agree as follows:
1. DISTRICT covenants and agrees to pay to CITY the sum of
iFive Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) annually for fire-support
services, payable on December 30 of each year during the term of
this Agreement or any renewal thereof, with the first annual
payment to be paid to CITY on December 30, 1992.
,j 2. In consideration of DISTRICT paying said sum to CITY,
CITY covenants and agrees to provide fire protection to DISTRICT
during the term of this Agreement.
3. The term of this Agreement shall commence on July 1,
1992, and continue in full force and effect until terminated by
both parties signing a termination agreement; PROVIDED, however,
that the term of this Agreement shall be for a period not less than
four ( 4) years.
4. On or before April 30th of each year during the term of
this Agreement, CITY will submit to DISTRICT in writing its
proposed priority spending plan for the purchase of equipment or
other items needed by CITY. (DISTRICT has received CITY' s list for
the fiscal year 1992/93 . )
5. In addition to the above annual payments of Five Thousand
Dollars ($5,000.00) , DISTRICT hereby commits to CITY funds budgeted
by the DISTRICT, to be allocated to the equipment or items needed
by the CITY under its priority spending plan, as agreed to by both

parties. When DISTRICT has accumulated sufficient funds for the
purchase of the agreed-upon equipment or item contained on said
list, DISTRICT will pay said funds to CITY for the purchase
thereof .
6. DISTRICT retains the right to annex or detach in those
areas outside the CITY sphere of influence. In areas within the
CITY sphere of influence, the CITY must concur.
7. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between
the parties. Any amendment to this Agreement shall be made by
written agreement of both parties.
8. It has been determined that this matter is not subject to
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have set their hands on
the day and year set forth below.
