A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY AND THE REDDING REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
AGENCY-OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG CHURN CREEK ADJACENT TO
THE PROPOSED ENTERPRISE COMMUNITY PARK.
WHEREAS,the City of Redding is in the process of developing the Enterprise Community Park located
in the southeast portion of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Redding Redevelopment Agency is the owner of property located along Chum Creek
adjacent to the proposed Enterprise Community Park; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of purchasing the Agency's property; along Chum Creek for
incorporation into the Enterprise Community Park design and development;

NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding does hereby resolve as follows:
The Purchase Agreement between the Redding Redevelopment Agency and the City of Redding in the
i form attached to this resolution and incorporated herein by reference,is hereby approved and the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Redding are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the members of the City
Council at a regular meeting held on the 21stday of July, 1992, by the following roll call vote:

PURCHASE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into on the day of 1992, by and
,i between the REDDING REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, a public body, hereinafter called "Agency," and
the CITY OF REDDING, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called "City":
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Agency is the owner of 8.62 acres located along Churn Creek
adjacent to the City's proposed Enterprise Community Park, Assessor's Parcel Number 068-330-09,
which property's legal description and location map are attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has determined that the development of the proposed Park
would benefit the residents of the Agency's Canby-Hilltop-Cypress Redevelopment Area; and

WHEREAS, the City has indicated its desire to purchase the Agency's property for
incorporation into the design and development of the proposed Park.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED between the parties hereto as follows:
1. The Agency agrees to sell and the City agrees to purchase the property identified in
this Agreement in Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" for FIFTY-THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
SIXTY FIVE AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($53,465.50).
!I 2. The City agrees to pay all closing costs on the transaction, including escrow fees,
document preparation fees, and title insurance costs.
3. The Agency and the City agree that the purchase shall be final on or before
December 31, 1993.

Parcel #1 as shown and designated upon that certain Parcel Map #LS 45-80 for Howard Martineau, et
al., filed for record in the Office of the County Recorder on November 17, 1980 in Book 21 of Parcel
Maps at Page 68, Shasta County Records.
PARCEL 2:
A right of way for road purposes over and across a strip of land 20 feet wide lying south of and
immediately adjacent to the following described line:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Section 17, Township 31 North, Range 4 West, M.D.M., thence
South 89033'34" West, 1610 feet, more or less, to a point on the Southwesterly line of the United
States Bureau of Reclamation 230 K.V. power line right of way; thence, said easement to be 20 feet
wide, lying Northeasterly of said Southwesterly line, Southeasterly, to a point of the South line of the
