A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE FIRST
ADDENDUM TO LEASE AT THE REDDING MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF REDDING AND JACK W. STRINGER.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redding hereby approves the Addendum to Lease (First) between the
City of Redding and Jack W. Stringer, a true copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Redding is
hereby authorized and directed to sign said Addendum to Lease on
behalf of the City of Redding; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor and to
impress the official seal of the City of Redding thereto.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced
and read at an regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Redding on the 16th day of June , 1992, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote:

ADDENDUM TO LEASE
THIS ADDENDUM TO LEASE, effective on the date of execution
by all parties , is entered into by and between the CITY OF
REDDING, a Municipal Corporation and General Law City, hereinafter
referred to as "LESSOR, " and JACK W. STRINGER, hereinafter
referred to as "LESSEE" :
W I T N E S S E T H:

WHEREAS, LESSOR and LESSEE entered into a Lease; and

WHEREAS, LESSOR and LESSEE wish to amend said Lease pursuant
,I to the terms and conditions of this Addendum to Lease;
i NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties hereto as
follows:
I . PARAGRAPH 1 (A) IS AMENDED BY CHANGING THE COMMENCING AND
TERMINATING TIMES. THE ENTIRE PARAGRAPH 1 (A) SHALL NOW READ AS
FOLLOWS:
1. TERM.
lA. For and in consideration of the terms, covenants,
conditions, and agreements herein set forth to be kept and
performed by LESSEE, LESSOR does hereby grant, demise, and
lease unto LESSEE, subject to all the terms, covenants,
'I conditions, and agreements hereinafter set forth, those
certain Premises described in Exhibit "A" and depicted in
Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, for a period of thirty ( 30 ) years commencing on
the date of execution of this Lease by all parties and
terminating May 31, 2022.
II . PARAGRAPH 2 (A) IS AMENDED BY CHANGING THE TERMINATING DATES
OF THE OPTION PERIODS. THE ENTIRE PARAGRAPH 2 (A) SHALL NOW READ
AS FOLLOWS:

2. OPTIONS TO RENEW LEASE.
A. LESSEE shall have two five-year options to extend the term
i of this Lease. Such options shall extend the initial 30-
year term of this Lease for two additional five-year
ii periods, to May 31, 2027, and May 31, 2032, respectively.
If LESSEE exercises such option( s) , all of the terms ,
covenants , conditions, and agreements of this Lease shall
remain in full force and effect, with the exception of this

it clause covering LESSEE' s options to renew. The options

shall be exercised by written notice addressed by LESSEE to
LESSOR no less than one hundred eighty ( 180 ) days prior to
the expiration of the then-current Lease term.
III . PARAGRAPH 6(A) IS AMENDED BY CHANGING THE SQUARE FOOTAGE TO

12 , 350 SQUARE FEET; CHANGING THE PER YEAR RENTAL TO $2 , 352 . 00 ;
j� CHANGING THE MONTHLY INSTALLMENT TO $196 . 00 ; AND CHANGING THE LAST
LINE TO READ. . . "COMMENCING ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH FOLLOWING

THE DATE OF EXECUTION OF THIS LEASE BY ALL PARTIES. " THE ENTIRE
PARAGRAPH 6 (A) SHALL NOW READ AS FOLLOWS:
6. GROUND RENTAL.
LESSEE shall pay to LESSOR base ground rental in accordance
with the following provisions:

A. For the 12 , 350 square foot Premises, Two Thousand Three
Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ( $2 , 352. 00 ) per year. Said rental
shall be payable in twelve ( 12 ) monthly installments of One
Hundred Ninety-six Dollars ( $196 . 00 ) each, payable to LESSOR
in advance on the first day of each month during the term of
this Lease, commencing on the first day of the month
following the date of execution of this Lease by all
parties.
IV. PARAGRAPH 10(C) IS AMENDED BY CHANGING THE LAST LINE TO
READ. . . "COMMENCING WITH THE FIRST DAY OF JUNE, 2022 . " THE ENTIRE

PARAGRAPH 10 ( C) SHALL NOW READ AS FOLLOWS:

j 10. IMPROVEMENT RENTALS
LESSEE shall pay to LESSOR improvement rentals in accordance
with the following provisions:
'! C. Upon completion of the amortization of improvements by
LESSEE, title to same shall pass to LESSOR, and LESSOR shall
become sole owner of all improvements upon the Premises.
From and after completion of the amortization of the cost of
said improvements , LESSEE shall pay rent to LESSOR for the
improvements. The annual rent for the improvements shall be
ten percent ( 10a) of the fair market value of such improve-
ments as determined from time-to-time in accordance with
paragraph 10(D) below. Said annual improvement rental shall
be paid in twelve ( 12 ) equal installments, in advance, on or
_ before the first day of each and every month, commencing
with the first day of June 2022 .
V. All other terms and conditions of said Lease shall remain in

full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Redding and Jack W. Stringer
have hereunto executed this Addendum to Lease on the days and year
set forth below.
