A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING TO ORDER THE FORMATION OF TERRITORY INTO A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, TO BE KNOWN AS LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12, AND TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS THEREIN FOR FISCAL YEAR 1992-93, PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972. WHEREAS, on this date the City Council adopted its Resolution Initiating Proceedings for the formation of LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12, and directed the filing of an Engineer' s Report on the proposed formation; and WHEREAS, the Engineer for the proceedings has filed his Report with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed District, which is generally located at the eastern end of Burton Drive where I Browning Street and Lancers Lane intersect, is to provide maintenance to those landscaping improvements required within the public right-of-way by the conditions of development approval of Unit 3 of the Lancer Hills Subdivision; and WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the proposed special assessment upon the land equally amongst the 11 lots/parcels of Unit 3 of the Lancer Hills Subdivision, which encompass the proposed District; and WHEREAS, no costs for the original improvements will be assessed against land within the proposed District; all costs of improvements being a condition of the development of Unit 3 of said Subdivision; and WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs -to the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses, including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be assessed; ti ��t NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1. That all of the above recitals are true and correct. 2. That the Report of the Engineer, containing a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the proposed LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12, and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots/parcels within said District, is hereby approved by the City Council as filed. 3 . That a public hearing will be held on TuesdaY. July 7 1992, at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers located at 1313 California Street, Redding, California, to address the formation of said District and the levying of assessments for fiscal year 1992-93 .
