HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 93-216 - Authorize execution of Grant Deed to the State of Calif, acting by & through its Dept of Transp, for city-owned land need for SR44 Ramp Relocation project t RESOLUTION NO. i A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT DEED TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING BY AND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR CITY-OWNED LAND NEEDED FOR THE STATE ROUTE 44 RAMP RELOCATION PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Redding and the State of California desire State Highway improvements within the City of Redding, including the construction of new on- and off-ramps from State Route 44 to Dana Drive, intersecting Dana Drive at Friendly Road; and I'I WHEREAS, the State of California desires to acquire land necessary for the State right-of- �j way for the State Route 44 ramp project; and WHEREAS, the City of Redding is the owner of record of Assessor's Parcel Numbers 71- 160-49 and 71-160-50; and WHEREAS, Assessor's Parcel Number 71-160-49 and a portion of 71-160-50 are required for the project; and i WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Redding to deed said land needed to the State; NOW, THEREFORE, BE/T RESOLVED that the City Council of the City, of Redding hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor to sign the grant deed, a true copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, transferring title of said land to the State of California. / HEREBY CERT/FY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the Redding City Council on the 1st day of June, 1993.
