RESOLUTION NO.
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT' NO. 20
LOTS 1-18, QUAIL HOLLOW SUBDIVISION, UNIT 3
LOTS 1-26, MONTEREY SPRINGS, UNIT 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1993-94.
WHEREAS, City Council has heretofore ordered the formation of
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 20 under authority granted by
the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as set forth in Part 2 of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of

California; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said District is to provide
maintenance to those landscaping improvements required within the
'I public right-of-way by the conditions of development approval of

Unit 3 of the Quail Hollow Subdivision and Unit 1 of the Monterey
Springs Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs to
the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of
vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses,
including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be
assessed; and
WHEREAS, no new improvements or substantial changes in
existing improvements are proposed for fiscal year 1993-94; and
WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the special assessment
for fiscal year 1993-94 upon the land equally amongst the above-
mentioned lots in Unit 3 of the Quail Hollow Subdivision and Unit
1 of the Monterey Springs Subdivision, which encompass the
District;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. That JAMES KING, Senior Planner, is designated. Engineer
for LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 20; and is hereby directed
to f ile an Annual Report with the City Clerk in accordance with
Streets and Highways Code Chapter 1, Article 4 (commencing with
Section 22565) , of Part 2--Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced.

and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Redding on the 4th day of MaY , 1993, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
