LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12 LOTS 1-11, LANCER HILLS SUBDIVISION, UNIT 3 LOTS 1-47, QUAIL RIDGE SUBDIVISION, UNIT 7 LOTS 1-92, QUAIL RIDGE SUBDIVISION, UNIT 8 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING TO (1) ANNEX ADDITIONAL TERRITORY, NAMELY QUAIL RIDGE SUBDIVISION, UNITS 7 AND 8, INTO LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12, AND (2) LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1993-94, PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972. WHEREAS, on this date the City Council adopted its Resolution initiating proceedings for the annexing of additional territory into LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12 and the levying of assessments for fiscal year 1993-94; and directed the filing of the Engineer' s Report; and WHEREAS, the Engineer for the proceedings has filed his Report with the City Clerk, setting forth a full and detailed description of the improvements; the boundaries of the District and the additional territory proposed to be annexed thereto, which is generally located near the corner of Browning Street and i Lancers Lane, and any zones therein; any bonds or notes to be issued; and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the District; and WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs to the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses, including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be assessed; and WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the special assessment upon the land equally amongst Lots 1 through 11 inclusive in Unit 3 of the Lancer Hills Subdivision; Lots 1 through 47 inclusive in Unit 7 of the Quail Ridge Subdivision; and Lots 1 through 92 \ inclusive in Unit 8 of the Quail Ridge Subdivision, which encompass the District; and IX N l ' WHEREAS, a public meeting will be held June 15, 1993, pursuant to Section 54954 . 6 of the Government Code; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1. That all of the above recitals are true and correct. 2. That the City Council hereby approves the Report of the Engineer, as filed, containing a full and detailed description of the improvements; the boundaries of the District, including the area proposed to be annexed in, and any zones therein; any bonds or notes to be issued; and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots/parcels within said District. 3 . That a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 1993 , at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers located. at 1313 California Street, Redding, California, to address the annexation of additional territory into the District and the levying of the proposed assessment for fiscal year 1993-94. 4. That the City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing by causing this Resolution to be published, posted, and mailed as provided in Section 22556 of the Streets and Highways Code.
