! A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1993-94.

WHEREAS, City Council has heretofore ordered the formation of
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 8 under authority granted by the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as set forth in Part 2 of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said District is to provide
maintenance to those landscaping improvements required within the
public right-of-way by the conditions of development approval of
Units 1 through 3 and remaining parcels R1 and R2 of the River
Ridge Park Subdivision, and Unit 1 of the River Ridge Terrace
Subdivision; and

WHEREAS, only costs for maintenance of landscaping, repairs to
the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of
vegetation as necessary, and any and all incidental expenses,
! including administrative costs, in connection therewith will be `\
assessed; and

WHEREAS, no new improvements or substantial changes in
existing improvements are proposed for fiscal year 1993-94; and ,

WHEREAS, City Council intends to levy the special assessment
for fiscal year 1993-94 upon the land equally amongst the above-
mentioned lots/remaining parcels in the River Ridge Park and River
Ridge Terrace Subdivisions, which encompass the District;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. That JAMES KING, Senior Planner, is designated Engineer
for LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 8; and is hereby directed to
file an Annual Report with the City Clerk in accordance with
Streets and Highways Code Chapter 1, Article 4 (commencing with
Section 22565) , of Part 2—Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced
and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Redding on the 4th day of May 1993, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
