A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A SURPLUS
DITCH EASEMENT AND A SURPLUS PEDESTRIAN EASEMENT
LOCATED BETWEEN LUCERNE COURT AND CREEKSIDE STREET
(A-10-92) .
WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and held in
accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways,
and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code
Section 8300, et seq. ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that the hereinafter described surplus ditch easement
and surplus pedestrian easement are not necessary for present or
prospective drainage and pedestrian purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders as follows:
1. The City Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
( a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter the
existing land form;
( c) The project is compatible with the surrounding
land use; and
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code.
2. That certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta, State of California, being the surplus ditch
easement and the surplus pedestrian easement located between '
Lucerne Court and Creekside Street as described in Exhibit "A"

and the map attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference,
be and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned as drainage and
pedestrian easements.
3 . The City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is
directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, attested
to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, in
the office of the Shasta County Assessor/Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 20th day of April , 1993, and was
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Anderson, Kehoe, Moss and Arness
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Dahl
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None

10 and an easement of variable width for the same purpose along the easterly boundary of Lot 11
