A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE REPORT AND ACCOUNT OF THE FIRE
MARSHAL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT AND
DEMOLITION OF THE UNSAFE AND UNSIGHTLY BUILDING(S) AND DEBRIS
ON THE PROPERTY OWNED BY JAMES & GLORIA STIGALL AT 1739 GRANT
STREET, IN THE CITY OF REDDING, APN 104-420-15: A LIEN ON THE
PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding submits to
the City Council for confirmation his Report and Account of the
Costs of Abatement and Demolition of the Unsafe and Unsightly
Building(s) and Debris, Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, on the property owned by James & Gloria Stigall, being
Assessor' s Parcel No. 104-420-15 located at 1739 Grant Street,
Redding, California, and more particularly described in Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the demolition and removal work done on said property
for which said costs were incurred was done pursuant to the
provisions of the City Code, and the owner of the subject property
was notified in advance of all proceedings herein as provided for
in said Code; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is
categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redding does hereby approve and confirm the Report and
Account of the costs of demolition and removal of the unsafe

building(s) and debris on the subject property. These costs shall
constitute a lien on said property and shall be collected in the
manner of ordinary taxes by the Tax Collector of the County of
Shasta, acting for the City of Redding. The City Clerk of the City
of Redding is directed to send a copy of this Resolution and the
report of the Fire Marshal herein to the County Auditor of Shasta
County, certified mail, for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced
and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Redding on the 15th day of February , 1994, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
