'Z A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ENDORSING THE EFFORTS OF THE SHARED PUBLIC RESOURCES COOPERATIVE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: WHEREAS, public agencies in California are facing an ever increasing challenge to use their limited resources more effectively and efficiently; and WHEREAS, public agencies are increasingly subject to many federal and state mandates that impose identical duties on each of them, and WHEREAS, citizens expect the highest quality services for the least cost, and WHEREAS, it is the professional duty and obligation of every public employee to continually work to improve their performance and that of their agency; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding endorses the mission of the cooperative which is to, "foster community trust, confidence and responsibility by maximizing cooperation and sharing of resources between public agencies," and i BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding is encouraged to continue to participate in the work of the Cooperative where the sharing of resources and expertise will directly benefit the citizens of Redding.
