RESOLUTION NO. 94-A6r7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF THE NECESSARY
LEASE/PURCHASE FINANCING AGREEMENT PERTAINING TO THE
SOLID WASTE EQUIPMENT TO BE ACQUIRED PURSUANT TO BID
SCHEDULE NO. 2880 (ONE WHEEL TRACTOR SCRAPER: FOUR-
WHEEL DRIVE, AUGER TYPE) .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding has
determined that a true and very real need exists for the
acquisition of the Solid Waste equipment set forth in Bid
Schedule No. 2880 (see attached Report to City Council) ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding has taken the necessary steps,
including those relating to any applicable legal bidding require-
ments, to arrange for the lease/purchase of said equipment; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of today' s date, the Council awarded
the bid to the low bidder in the amount of $501 ,334.76 ; and
proposes to enter into a lease/ purchase agreement for said
equipment;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1. It is found and determined to be in best interests of
the City of Redding to acquire the necessary Solid Waste
equipment by entering into a lease/purchase agreement.
2. The Interim City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute, acknowledge, and deliver the necessary lease/purchase
agreement and any additional and subsequent documentation
relating thereto, upon form approval by the City Attorney, with
any changes, insertions, and omissions therein as may be approved
by the Officers who execute the Agreements, such approval to be
conclusively evidenced by such execution and delivery of the
lease/purchase agreement. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to

affix the official seal of the City of Redding to the
documentation and attest the same.
3 . The Interim City Manager and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all
papers, instruments, opinions, certificates, affidavits, and
other documents , and to do or cause to be done any and all other
acts and things necessary or proper for carrying out this
Resolution and the financing documents relating thereto.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced, read, and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 6th day of September , 1994, by the following
vote:
