HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 95-032 - Amending Exh A-2 Eff 02-12-95 & Exh A-3 Eff 07/02/95 to MOU RESOLUTION NO. 95-3a- REDDING EMPLOYEES ORGANIZATION OF THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNIT CLERICAL, TECHNICAL, AND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES' UNIT A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING EXHIBIT A-2 EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 12, 1995, AND EXHIBIT A-3 EFFECTIVE JULY 2, 1995, TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY (1) DELETING THE CLASSIFICATION OF PUBLIC INFORMATION ASSISTANT; AND (2) ADDING THE CLASSIFICATION OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS DESIGNER AT A WAGE RANGE EQUAL TO CLERK III. WHEREAS, on April 18, 1994, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 94-93 approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Redding and the Clerical, Technical, and Professional Employees' Unit of the Redding Employees Organization of the Service Employees International Union; and WHEREAS, the Exhibits to the MOU have been amended from time-to-time; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Personnel Department in its accompanying Report to City Council that Exhibits A-2 and A-3 to the MOU be further amended as set forth above, which will result in a more appropriate classification title and class description, and wage-range parity among like classifications; and WHEREAS, the representatives of the bargaining unit are in agreement with this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Council hereby concurs with said recommendation, and directs that the MOU be amended by repealing existing Exhibits A-2 and A-3 as of midnight, February 11, 1995; and adding a new Exhibit A-2 effective February 12, 1995, and a new Exhibit A-3 effective July 1, 1995, copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, to: (1) Delete the classification of Public Information Assistant; and (2) Add the classification of Computer Graphics Designer at a wage range equal to Clerk III.
