A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL .: OF THE CITY OF REDDING
CONFIRMING THE DIAGRAM AND ASSESSMENTS IN LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT "B" FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995-96, PURSUANT TO
THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972.
WHEREAS, on March 21, 1995, the City Council approved the Report
of the Engineer as filed relating to Landscape Maintenance District "B"
(District) , and gave notice of the time and place of the May 16 , 1995,
public hearing regarding the levy and collection of assessments for
fiscal year 1995-96; and
WHEREAS, a diagram of the area encompassed by the District,
individual maps, and a summary are attached hereto and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing, duly and properly noticed, commenced
at the City Council Chambers, 1313 California Street, Redding,
California, on May 16, 1995, and was concluded prior to the adoption of
this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, at the May 16 public hearing, the City Council gave every
interested person an opportunity to object to the proposed assessment;
and
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites to the adoption of this
Resolution have occurred, including a public meeting held May 2, 1995,
pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.6;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding does
hereby find, resolve, determine, and order as follows:
1. The matters set forth above are true and correct.
2. The City Council has considered all oral statements and written
protests or communications made or filed by interested persons at
the public meeting of May 2, 1995, and the public hearing of
May 16, 1995, and hereby expressly overrules any and all protests �}
filed objecting to the proposed assessments to be !levied in the
District.
3 . The assessment diagram contained in the Engineer' s Report is
hereby adopted and confirmed.
4. The City Council finds that the Engineer has fairly and properly
apportioned the cost of the improvements to each lot/remaining
parcel of land in the District in proportion toi the estimated
benefits to be received by each lot/remaining parcel from the
improvements.
5. The following assessment against each lot and remaining parcel
located within the District for fiscal year 1995-96 is hereby
adopted and confirmed:
Assessment: $69 . 94
Less credit for cash carryover - 4. 29
Net payable: $65. 65.
6. The City Clerk shall forthwith transfer to the Auditor and the
Assessor/Recorder of Shasta County a certified copy of this
Resolution and a certified copy of the assessment diagram
contained in the Engineer' s Report.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution. pertaining to
Landscape Maintenance District "B" was introduced, readland adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council on the 16th day ofl May, 1995, by
the following vote: I
