RESOLUTION NO. 95-�2.
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF
ABATEMENT ON THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
2774 AKARD AVENUE, OWNED BY GRADY M. CRAMER.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all
buildings or structures located within the City that are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated
from old age, neglect, decay, or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are
dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council and thereafter abated as provided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the
building located on the real property described as:
Lot 7, Block 2, as shown on the map entitled "Map of First Addition to
Park Subdivision, City of Redding, Shasta County, California" filed in the
office of the County Recorder of Shasta County, February 13, 1937, in
Book 5 of Maps at page 13, Shasta County Records.
and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health, and public welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that:
l. The building on the above-mentioned real property is declared to be a public
nuisance.
2. The Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals are directed to institute abatement

�proceedings as provided in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36.

3. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Shasta County Assessor-Recorder for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the l st day of Au ust, 1995, by the following
