A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF
ABATEMENT ON THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
513 NORTH MARKET STREET, OWNED BY SERVILLANO
CASTILLEJOS AND CLYDE A. DEAN.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all
buildings or structures located within the City that are structurally unsafe, or are`dilapidated
from old age, neglect, decay, or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are
dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council and thereafter abated as provided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the
structures located on the real property described as:

and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health, and public welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that the
structures on the above-mentioned real property are declared to be a public nuisance and that
the Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals are directed to institute abatement proceedings as
provided in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the l7th day of octobe� 1995, by the following
vote:
