REDDING EMPLOYEES ORGANIZATION OF THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNIT
CLERICAL, TECHNICAL, AND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES' UNIT
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING EXHIBITS
A-3 AND B-3 TO TAE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 5,
1995, BY ADDING THE CLASSIFICATION OF "JANITOR" TO EXHIBIT A-3, AND THE
CLASSIFICATION OF "CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL SPECIALIST" TO EXHIBIT B-3.
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1994, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 94-93
approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Redding and the
Clerical, Technical, and Professional Employees' Unit of the Redding Employees
Organization of the Service Employees International Union; and
WHEREAS, the Exhibits to the MOU have been amended from time-to-time; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Human Resources Manager, in her
accompanying Report to City Council, that Exhibits A-3 and B-3 to the MOU be further
amended as set forth above, which will result in a more appropriate classification
title and class description, and wage-range parity among like classifications; and
WHEREAS, the representatives of the bargaining unit are in agreement with this
recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the MOU be amended by
repealing existing Exhibits A-3 and B-3 as of midnight, November 4, 1995; and adding
new Exhibits A-3 and B-3, copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof,
effective November 5, 1995, in which the classification of "Janitor" is added to
Exhibit A-3, and the classification of "Cross-Connection Control Specialist" is added
to Exhibit B-3 .
2 HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced, read, and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 7th day of November, 1995, by
the following vote:
