HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 96-003 - Commending Bldg Official Ted Voges � � RESOLUTION NO. 96-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING COMMENDING RETIRING BUILDING OFFICIAL TED VOGES FOR 37 YEARS OF SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO THE CITY OF REDDING WHEREAS, Ted Voges will be retiring from his position as City Building Official for the City of Redding after 37 and 1/2 years of outstanding service; and WHEREAS, in the performance of his duties, responsibilities and working relationships, Ted has always displayed an obvious dedication to the job; and WHEREAS, Ted Voges has also been very active in community activities as well as professional organizations such as : *Member of California Building Officials � *Member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Shasta Division *Member of International Conference of Building Officials, Cascade Chapter *Member of the National Electrical Contractors Association - and selected "Man of the Year, 1990" *P.T.A. and Shasta High School Boosters Club *Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 159 *Manager/Coach for Farm League, Little League, Major League, Pony League, and Colt League, compiling 5 championship teams; and WHEREAS, Ted Voges has served the City of Redding with distinction and has proven himself as a loyal employee for many years, having significantly contributed to the growth and development of the City. NOW THEREFORE, as Mayor of the City of Redding, I do hereby commend and congratulate Ted Voges as he retires from the City of Redding, and extend best wishes and success to him in all his future ventures . I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 2nd day of January 1996 , by the following vote: AYES : COUNCIL MEMBERS: P.
