RESOLUTION NO. 96-�
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF
ABATEMENT ON THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1756 EUGE1vIA AVENUE, OWNED BY CORILYN STYGAR
WHEREAS, the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all
buildings or structures located within the City that are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated
from old age, neglect, decay, or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are
dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the Ciry Council and thereafter abated as provided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, the Building O�cial of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the
building located on the real property described as:
One substandard residence at 1756 Eugenia Avenue, Lots 7 and 8 in
Block T, as shown on the map of Boardman Addition to Redding, recorded
in the office of the County Recorder August 30, 1901, in Book 1 of Maps
at Page 57, Shasta County Records.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that the
building on the above-mentioned real property is declared to be a public nuisance. The Fire
Marshal and the Board of Appeals are directed to institute abatement proceedings as provided
in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 16th day of Aprit , 1996, by the following
vote:
