RESOLUTION NO. �
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DESIGNATING THE
BUCKEYE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT SURVEY AREA
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code Section
33000, et seq.) provides that a redevelopment survey area may be designated by resolution of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 33210 of the Health and Safety Code provides that two or more agencies may jointly
exercise the powers granted under Part 1 Chapter 1 Article 2 of Division 24 of the California Health and
Safety Code to form a Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding and the County of Shasta, the "Participating Jurisdictions," and the Shasta
County Redevelopment Agency and the Redding Redevelopment Agency, the "Agencies," have entered into
a Project Formation Agreement to study the feasibility of a redevelopment project or projects along the Lake
Boulevard/Oasis Road corridor of the community, as depicted on Exhibit"A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, if such a project or projects are found to be feasible, the Participating Jurisdictions and the
Agencies desire to form a Redevelopment Project in said area, in order to address those conditions as set
forth in Health and Safety Code Sections 33030 and 33031, causing a reduction of, or lack of, proper
utilization of the area to such an extent that it constitutes a serious physicai or economic burden on the
community which cannot reasonably be expected to be reversed or alleviated by private enterprise acting
alone;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows:
1. That the City Council does hereby designate as a redevelopment survey area those areas shown on the
map of the "Proposed Buckeye Redevelopment Project Survey Area" (Exhibit "A") that are within the
corporate boundaries of the City of Redding.
2. That the City Council hereby finds and determines that said designated survey area requires study to
determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible.
I HEREBYCERT/FYthat the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at an adjourned regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 12th day of December, 1996, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote:
