A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS ON
THE R�AL PROPERTY A� 483 NORTI� MARKET STREET,
OWNED BY SERVILLANO CASTILLE.JOS.
WHEREAS, the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all
buildings or structures located within the City that are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from
old age, neglect, decay, or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to
human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the
City Council and thereafter abated as provided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the
buildings/structures located on the real property described as:
Assessor's Parcel 112-280-09
483 North Market Street
Redding, CA 96001
VFII3EREAS, the Building Official has found the property to be dilapidated and
substandard using the definition provided in Chapter 10 of the Uniform Housing Code and in
Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HER�BY RESOLVED by the City Council that the
buildings/structures on the above-mentioned real property are declared to be a public nuisance.
The Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals are directed to institute abatement proceedings as \

provided in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36.
