HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 97-047 - Begin Abatement Proceedings on the Real Property at 832 through 846 Junior St (9 Units) owned by Damian L Seiler � � RESOLUTION 97-� A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS ON THE REAL PROPERTY AT 832 THROUGH 846 JUNIOR STREET (NINE UNITS), OWNED BY DAMIAN L. SEILER. WHEREAS, the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all buildings located within the City that are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay, or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council and thereafter abated as provided in said chapter; and WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the buildings located on the real property described as: Assessor's Parcel 104-230-42 832 through 846 Junior Street, Redding, CA 96001 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that the building(s)/structure(s) on the above-mentioned real property are declared to be a public nuisance. The Fire Marshal is directed to institute abatement proceedings as provided in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of March, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: COiJNCIL MEMBERS: P.
