RESOLUTION NO. 97-�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ESTABLISHING A NEW EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-
PERFORMANCE SALARY PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES,
EFFECTIVE MARCH 9, 1997.
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied thc current Executive Management Pay-for-
Performance Plan for unrepresented employees established by Resolution 96-196; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Manager has recommended that a new Executive
Management Pay-for-Performance Plan for unrepresented employees be established as set forth in
Exhibit A, effective March 9,1997, in order to change the titles of Transportation Coordinator to
Transportation Manager and Principal Planner to Planning Manager, adjust the salary ranges for
Director of Development Services and Transportation Manager, create Deputy City Manager
classification, and eliminate Assistant Director- General Services classifieation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City to adopt such
recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that
Resolution 96-196 be rescinded as of midnight March 8, 1997; and a new Executive Management
Pay-for-Performance Salary Plan for unrepresented employees be established as set forth in Exhibit A,
effective March 9, 1997.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 4th day of March 1997, by the
following vote:
