RESOLUTION NO. 97-�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT FOR
WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICE
BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND CLAIMS MANAGEMENT,
INC. THROUGH MARCH 31, 1998.
WHEREAS, Claims Management Inc. (CMI) has administered the City's workers'
compensation claims program since April 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement for Workers' Compensation Claims Administration Service
(Contract No. C-3220), which comes up for renewal on April 1, 1997, allows for its extension
on a year-to-year basis; and
WHEREAS, for 1997/98 CMI has agreed to maintain the current annual fee of$81,112
and the computer modem access fee of$2,000; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Administrative Services Department that
the agreement with CMI be extended one year, through March 31, 1998, for a total fee of
$83,112;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the Agreement for
Workers' Compensation Claims Administration Service with Claims Management, Inc. be
extended for the period April l, 1997, through March 31, 1998, for a total fee of$83,112, and
that the Mayor execute the extension agreement.
I HEREBY CERTIFI' that the faregoing resolution was introduced, read and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the �8tn day of March , 1997, by the following
vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
