A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
VEHICLE EXTRICATION EQUIPMENT, AND THE FILING OF A TRAFFIC
SAFE�'Y PROJEC� AGREEMEN�' (PROJEC�' NO. EM9805: "FIRST
R�SPONDER RESCUE EQUIPM�NT PROJECT").
WHEREAS, the State of California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) tentatively approved the
Fire Department's "First Responder Rescue Equipment Project" proposal for one year in the amount
of$86,155; and
WHEREAS, final approval depends on the City submitting a timely and acceptable Project
Agreement and the successful negotiation of goals and objectives;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding
authorizes the acceptance of a grant and the filing of a Traffic Safety Project Agreement with the
California Office of Traffic Safery in the amount of$86,155 for the above Project.
BE IT �JRTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute the Project
Agreement and ancillary documentation; and the City Clerk is directed to attest the signature of the
City Manager and affix the seal of the City to the documentation, when appropriate.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 19th day of August , 1997, by the following vote:
