RESOLUTION �I 7" �ID RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING TO BEGIN ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS ON 'd'�IE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2200 PRAY ROAD, CURRENTLY OWNED BY STANLEY M. BRIDGES WHEREAS,the provisions of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 provide that all buildings and structures located within the City which are structurally unsafe, or are partially destroyed by fire, or dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes, and which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons may be abated as provided in Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36; and WH�REAS, the Building Official or his or her representative has made an inspection of the btiildings ]ocated on the real property described as: 2200 Pray Road Assessor's Parcel Number: 108-090-02 All that real property situate in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the Eastern boundary line of tract A as shown on the map entitled "Map of the E. C. Frisbie Tract in the P. B. Reading Grant" in Book 4 of Land Surveys at page 3 in the office of t11e County Recorder of Shasta County, distant thereon North 7°30' West 179 feet from the Southeast corner thereof; said Point of Beginning is marked by an iron capped pipe L.S. 2005; thence North 7°30' West 167.90 feet to an iron capped pipe marked L. S. 2005; thence North 83°24' West 931 feet to an iron capped pipe on the boundary line of said Tract A; thence South 42°15' West 72 feet to an iron capped pipe marked L. S. 2005; thence South 83°24' East, l 91.83 feet to an iron capped pipe marlced L. S. 2005; thence Soutl� 5°49' East 90 feet to an iron capped pipe marked L. S. 2005; thence North 84°49' West 281.5 feet to an iron capped pipe marked L. S. 2005 on the boundary line of said Tract A; thence South 42°l 5; West 21.5 feet to an iron peg at the most Western corner of said Tract A; thence South 15°30'30" East, 143.70 feet to an iron capped pipe marked L. Klingler,husband and wife,to Charles Mead and Evelyn Mead, his wife, by deed dated June 7, 1954 and recorded June 9, 1954 in book 428 Official Records at page 207, Shasta County Records. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the parcel desci•ibed in the deed to D. C. Brown, et ux, recorded Noveinber 9, 1956 in Book 513, page 51, Ofticial Records. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the parcel described in the deed to the State of California recorded August 5, 1957 in Book 540, page 172, Official Records. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the parcel described in the deed to .ioseph A. Noll recorded October 6, 1959 in Book 614, page 22, Ofticial Records. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the parcel described in the deed to D. C. Brown, et ux, recorded October 20, 1959 in Book 615, page 106, Official Records. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the parcel described in the deed to Clifton L. Brown, et ux, recorded December 13, 1960 in Book 652, page 414, Official Records. WHEREAS, the Building Official believes the buildings located at the above-referenced property constitute a public nuisance that should be abated pursuant to Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that abaten�ent proceedings commence pursuant to Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36 for the buildings located on the above-refere��ced property. The Building Official and the Fire Marshal are directed to institute abatemen� proceedings as provided by Redding Municipal Code Chapter 9.36. The City Clerk is directed to record a certified copy of this resolution with the County Recorder. I HEREBY CERTI�f'Y that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 4`" day of November, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: R.
