RESOLUTION NO. 98-��
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING SUMMARILY VACATING A DEDICATED PUBLIC STREET
KNOWN AS TOWER VIEW COURT, IN THE REDDING AIRPORT
BiJSINESS PARK SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, Tower View Court was dedicated to the City of Redding as a public
street with the recording of the Redding Airport Business Park Subdivision in Book 21 of
Maps at page 42, Shasta County Records; and
WHEREAS, except for the reservation of a 5' public service easement and a 20' road
and public service easement, the City is proposing vacating Tower View Court as excess right-
of-way not required for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, Tower View Court, as more particularly described in Exhibit A and
shown on the maps attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, lies within property
under one ownership and does not continue through such ownership or end touching property
of another;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL FIlVDS, RESOLVES and ORDERS
AS FOLLOWS: .
1. The City Council elects to proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public �
Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law as set forth in Section 8330, et �
seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. �

2. Tower View Court is excess right-of-way not required for street purposes; it lies within
property under one ownership (the City of Redding); and it does not continue through
such ownership or end touching property of another.
3. The City Council hereby summarily vacates Tower View Court (hereafter the "Area of
Abandonment), as described in Exhibit A and shown on the maps attached hereto,
SUBJECT TO THE CITY OF REDDING RESERVING THEREFROM THE
FOLLOWING EASEMENTS:
(a) The easterly 5.0' of the Area of Abandonment lying immediately adjacent to the
west right-of-way line of Lockheed Drive for a public service easement; and
(b) A 20' easement far road and public service purposes, lying 10' on each side of
the centerline of the Area of Abandonment and its westerly prolongation to the
westerly boundary line of the Area of Abandonment; the sidelines to be
lengthened or shortened to meet intersecting property lines.
4. The City Clerk is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution of vacation,
attested by the Clerk under seal, to be recorded in the office of the Shasta County
Assessor/Recorder.
5. From and after the date this resolution is recorded, Tower View Court is vacated and
shall no longer constitute a dedicated public street.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 2 1 s t day of A p r i 7, 1998, by the following
vote:

TOWER VIEW COURT ABANDONMENT(Total Road)
Abandonment Description:
Tower View Court, as shown on the map of Redding Airport Business Park Subdivision,
recorded in Book 21 of Maps at Page 42, Shasta County Records, lying west of the west
right of way line of Lockheed Drive as shown on said map; together with the 5-foot public
service easement which lies immediately adjacent to the right of way lines of Tower View
Court. Reserving therefrom a 5.0' public service easement being the easterly 5' of Tower
View Court and lying immediately adjacent to the west right of way line of Lockheed Drive.
Also reserving therefrom a 20'wide easement for road and public service purposes lying 10'
on each side of the centerline of said Tower View Court and its westerly prolongation to the
westerly boundary line of said court. Sidelines to be lengthened or shortened to meet
intersecting property lines.
