A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING THE NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE SCHEDULE OF
CLASSIFICATIONS AND HOURLY WAGE RATES FOR THE SERVICE
EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION—CLERICAL,TECHNICAL AND
PROFESSIONAL UNIT,AND THE EXEMPT(PAY-FOR-PERFORMANCE)
EMPLOYEE SCHEDULE OF CLASSIFICATIONS AND SALARY RANGES
FOR THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION—
SUPERVISORY/CONFIDENTIAL UNIT,EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 17,1999.
WHEREAS,the Administrative Services Director has recommended that the Non-Exempt
Employee Schedule of Classifications and Hourly Wage Rates for the Service Employees
International Union—Clerical, Technical and Professional Unit be amended as set forth in
Exhibit"A-4," effective October 17, 1999, in order to delete the classification of Waste Inspector;
add the classifications of Hazardous Waste Specialist, Computer/Network Technician II, and
Telecommunications Technician II;and retitle the classifications of Telecommunications Technician
to Telecommunications Technician I, Computer Equipment Technician to Computer/Network
Technician I, Computer Operator to Computer Support Specialist I, Senior Computer Operator to
Computer Support Specialist II,and Computer/Network Specialist to Computer/Network Technician
III; and retitle and adjust the salary range of the classification of Computer Training Specialist to
Computer Support Specialist III; and
WHEREAS,the Administrative Services Director has also recommended that the Exempt
(Pay-for-Performance) Employee Schedule of Classifications and Salary Ranges for the Service
Employees International Union—Supervisory/Confidential Unit be amended as set forth in
Exhibit"C-4,"effective October 17, 1999,in order to add the classification/salary ranges of A/S 400
Administrator and Network Administrator, retitle the classification of Information Systems
Operations Manager to Information Systems Supervisor, and adjust the salary range of the
classification of Telecommunications Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City to adopt such
recommendations;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council that the Non-
Exempt Employee Schedule of Classifications and Hourly Wage Rates for the Service Employees
International Union—Clerical, Technical and Professional Unit be amended, as set forth in
Exhibit "A-4," and the Exempt (Pay-for-Performance) Employee Schedule of Classifications and
Salary Ranges for the Service Employees International Union—Supervisory/Confidential Unit be �
amended as set forth in Exhibit"G4," effective October 17, 1999.
