RESOLUTION NO. 99- '`�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COOPERATION
AGREEMENT WITH THE REDDING REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF SAID AGREEMENT TO
JUNE 30, 2000.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding, acting pursuant to the provisions of
the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.),
has activated the Redding Redevelopment Agency by Resolution No. 2407,adopted August 4, 1958;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law, the Agency is performing
a public function of the City and may have access to services and facilities of the City; and
WHEREAS,the City and the Agency entered into a Cooperation on October 28, 1985, and
amended this Agreement on December 16, 1985, in order to:
1. Set forth activities, services, and facilities which the City will render for and make
available to the Agency in furtherance of the activities and functions of the Agency
under the Community Redevelopment Law; and
2. Provide that the Agency will reimburse the City for actions undertaken and costs and
expenses incurred by it for and on behalf of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City and Agency again amended this Agreement on November 3, 1992,
in order to include all Redevelopment Projects located within the City of Redding; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Agency have by mutual agreement annually extended the
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City concludes it remains in the City's best interests to again extend the
Agreement and to amend ll�e Agreeinent to include all Redevelopment Projects with area cxtending
outside the City of Redding for which the Redding Redevelopment Agency is the appointed Lead
Agency.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows:
1. The extension uf the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Reciclin� aii�i lhe �
Redding Redevelopment Agency is hereby approved through June 30, 2000. �

2. The Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement is hereby approved. �

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and read at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 15th day of June 1999 and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
