A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE WATER
INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NATION (WIIN) ACT
CONTRACT CONVERSION
WHEREAS, the City of Redding has participated in the contract conversion negotiation
process of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act with the United
States Bureau of Reclamation(USBR); and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding is a USBR water contractor (Contract No. 14-06-200-
5272A-LTR1), providing water to a population of approximately 92,500 people; and
WHEREAS, the City and the USBR have completed negotiations as necessary to reach a
mutual agreement on the amendment to convert the City's water service contract to a repayment
contract as allowed under the WIIN Act; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to assign a signatory to execute the conversion process
of the City's contract with the USBR;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redding authorizes and designates the Mayor as signatory for the WIIN Act contract conversion
process for the City's water service contract as amended. (Contract No. 14-06-200-5272A-P).
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 21 st day of July, 2020, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
