HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 2020-03-17 - Special 194 Redding City Council, Special Meeting Civic Center Council Chambers 777 Cypress Avenue Redding, CA 96001 March 17, 2020, 6:05 PM The meeting was called to order by Mayor Adam McElvain with the following Council Members present: Erin Resner, Kristen Schreder, and Julie Winter. Council Member Michael Dacquisto participated by teleconference. All votes were taken by roll call. Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin, Assistant City Manager Sheri DeMaagd, City Attorney Barry E. DeWalt, City Clerk Pamela Mize, and Executive Assistant Anette Cates. REGULAR CALENDAR At the hour of 7:32 p.m., Mayor McElvain opened the Special Meeting. 2(a). Consider adoption of Resolution to Declare State of Emergency. City Manager Barry Tippin presented the Report to the City Council (staff report), incorporated herein by reference. A MOTION WAS MADE by Council Member Schreder, seconded by Council Member Resner,to adopt Resolution No. 2020-032, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding, declaring a Local Emergency (Declaration), by four-fifths vote, and authorizing the City Manager as the Director of Emergency Services to coordinate planning, preparedness, and response efforts regarding COVID-19. The Vote: AYES: Council Members - Dacquisto, Resner, Schreder, Winter, and McElvain NOES: Council Members - None ABSTAIN: Council Members -None ABSENT: Council Members -None Resolution No. 2020-032 is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
