A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
DECLARING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 801 LAKEVIEW DRIVE AS
EXEMPT SURPLUS PROPERTY, SUBJECT TO THE RETENTION OF
ANY EASEMENT(S), IF REQUIRED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE UTILITIES
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
NEGOTIATE THE TERMS OF THE SALE AND ANY OTHER
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO CONCLUDE THE SALE TO THE
INCOME QUALIFIED BUYER AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO
SIGN THE GRANT DEED AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY TO TRANSFER TITLE TO THE BUYER
WHEREAS, the City of Redding, owns property located at 801 Lakeview Drive, APN
103-130-013-000 (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding acquired said property on March 14, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is a single-family home; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that there is not a need to retain the property for
public purposes and, therefore, it will be sold as affordable housing to persons and families of low
or moderate income; and
WHEREAS, any sale of the subject property would require, if necessary, the retention of
an easement(s) for public service purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
1. The above recitals are true and correct.
2. The Property is declared exempt surplus property, subject to the retention of any
easements(s), if required, for public service purposes.
3. Sale of the Property by the City is categorically exempt from the requirements of the _
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15312 of the CEQA N
Guidelines (Surplus Government Property Sales).
4. The Property will sell to a low- to moderate-income housing family as defined in
Government Code 25539. C'

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the Redding City Council on the 181h day of February, 2020, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBER: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBER: Resner
