HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2187 - Amending Title 18.06.020 ORDINANCE NO. 219 7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING SECTION 18.06.020 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING (RZ-16-96). The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows: Section 1. That the boundaries of the districts referred to in Section 18.06.020 of the Redding Municipal Code, as designated on a map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding, California," dated March 19, 1956, are hereby altered as set forth on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by: REZONING: 3333 Placer Street and the area generally south of South Street and east of Buenaventura Boulevard FROM: "114" Single Family Residential District; "R-2" Duplex Residential District; and "C-1-F" Neighborhood Commercial District with Site Plan Review Combining District TO: "C-1-F" Neighborhood Commercial District with Site Plan Review Combining District, with the site plan review criteria attached hereto and made a part hereof; and "U" Unclassified District. Section 2. On the basis of the initial study for rezoning application RZ-16-96 prepared by the Development Services Department, the City Council finds that the subject rezoning will not have a significant effect on the environment and approves the negative declaration with the following findings: The Project is compatible with the Redding General Plan, the surrounding land use and the Code of the City of Redding, California, and it will not significantly alter existing landform. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to law. May 8, 1997 Linda Foss RZ-16-96 Site Plan Review 1. The minimum building and parking lot setbacks for Placer Street are 20 feet and 15 feet, respectively. The minimum building and parking lot setback for San Francisco Street is 15 feet. In the event that San Francisco Street is abandoned between Placer Street and South Street the minimum setbacks shall conform with the zoning requirements in place at the time of development. 2. The public sidewalk along Placer Street shall be a meandering sidewalk separated from the curb a minimum of 5 feet, except at the driveway crossing. Any portion of the sidewalk located on the property shall require a public-access easement. The Placer Street frontage, exclusive of driveways or sidewalks, shall be bordered by a landscape planter equal to the building or parking lot setback. Any area between the property line and back of curb,exclusive of the detached sidewalk, shall also be landscaped The property shall be limited to one driveway on Placer Street.
