RESOLUTION NO. 2019-121 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND SCHEDULE OF WAGE RATES BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS - MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES UNIT, EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 4, 2019 WHEREAS, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Maintenance Employees, Local 1245, has been formally recognized as the majority representative of an appropriate unit of employees, as set forth in Section 2.1 of Article 2 of the Memorandum of Understanding; and WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City of Redding have conferred with and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the designated representatives of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Maintenance Employees, Local 1245, as required by the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act of 1968; and WHEREAS, Staff recommended adoption of the Memorandum of Understanding and amendments to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Maintenance Employees, Local 1245, attached exhibits, effective December 4, 2019; and WHEREAS, a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding is available for review online and in the office of the City Clerk; WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to adopt such recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the amendments to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Maintenance Employees, Local 1245, Schedule of Wage Rates as set forth in the attached Exhibits "A-0, A-1, A-2, A-3" shall be effective December 1, 2019, and that the aforesaid Memorandum of Understanding is hereby approved and shall be effective December 4, 2019.
