AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN
ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP AND
AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP (RZ-2019-
00361, RZ-2019-00496, AND RZ-2019-00522)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Finding of fact: the City finds and declares as follows:
A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made part of the Redding
Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to the amendments
to the Zoning Map on April 9, 2019 for RZ-2019-00361 and RZ-2019-00496 and on August
13, 2019 for RZ-2019-00522, and recommended that the City Council adopt the Addendum
to the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map and the
attached amendments to the Zoning Map pertaining thereto.
C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on September 3, 2019, prior to the first
reading of the ordinance.
D. The proposed amendments to the Zoning Map are consistent with the General Plan and any
applicable specific plan.
E. Adoption of this ordinance will not impact the welfare of the citizens of Redding and its
surrounding region.
Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the Addendum to the Zoning Code Mitigated
Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map.
Section 3. The boundaries of the districts referred to in Section 18.01.050 of the Redding
Municipal Code, as designated on a map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding, California,"
dated January 7, 2003, are hereby altered as set forth on the map attached hereto and made part
hereof, and generally described as follows:
LOCATION: 1242, 1050, 1066, 1078, and 1095 West Street
FROM: "RM -12" Residential Multiple Family; "LO" Limited Office Districts c
TO: "GO" General Office District; and
LOCATION: 4710, 4900, 4950 Shasta View Drive
FROM: "PF" Public Facilities District
TO: "RS -2" Residential Single Family District; and
LOCATION: 950 Lake Boulevard
FROM: "RM -15" Residential Multiple Family District
TO: "PF" Public Facilities District; and
LOCATION: 971 and 991 N Market Street
FROM: "RM -6" Residential Multiple Family District
TO: "PF" Public Facilities District; and
LOCATION: 2758 through 2958 Victor Avenue (even addresses only)
FROM: "RS -3.5" Residential Single Family District and "RM -12" Residential
Multiple Family District
TO: "GO" General Office District
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption; and
the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to
law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this ordinance was introduced and read at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 3rd day of September, 2019, and was read and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 17th day of September, 2019, by the following vote:
Regarding 4710, 4900 and 4950 Shasta View Drive, a portion of RZ-2019-00361:
