ZZ VI/ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING CORRECTING CODE REFERENCES IN REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 10.20.040.B.2.a. (POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN CITY PARKS) AND 11.44.030 (USE OF CITY PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES—PERMIT). The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows: Section 1. Subsection B.2.a. of Section 10.20.040 (Possession or Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages in City Parks) of the Redding Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 10.20.040. Possession or Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages in City Parks. B.2.a. First complied with the provisions of Section 2.55.120 of this code; appeals from decisions of the director of community services shall be made directly to the city council. Section 2. Section 11.44.030 of the Redding Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 11.44.030. Use of City Park and Recreational Facilities—Permit. Persons or organizations wishing to use any portion of city park and recreational facilities for a special event shall apply to the department of community services, recreation and parks division, for a permit pursuant to Section 2.55.120. If the special event impacts pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic or parking, the applicant must also apply to the city clerk for a special event permit pursuant to Section 11.44.050. The department of community services, recreation and parks division, may impose terms and conditions upon any permit for the use of any portion of city park and recreational facilities. Section 3. The passage of this ordinance is nota "project"according to the definition in the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to the provisions requiring environmental review. • Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
