A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ADOPTING ADDENDUMS TO THE GENERAL PLAN
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR GPA -2019-00360, 2019-
00495, AND GPA -2019-00521 AND AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN
DIAGRAM TO ACCOMMODATE EACH OF GPA -2019-00360, GPA -2019-
00495, AND GPA -2019-00521
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the General Plan on October 3, 2000; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the General Plan Diagram, for four geographical locations, are
desired to ensure that the diagram accurately reflects intended use of the land and is consistent
with surrounding development patterns as identified in the General Plan Amendments GPA -
2019 -00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to said
amendments on April 9, 2019, for General Plan Amendment Applications GPA -2019-00360 and
GPA -2019-00495, and on August 13, 2019 for General Plan Amendment Application GPA -
2019 -00521, and recommended that the City Council adopt amendments to the General Plan
Diagram as described on the attached exhibits; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed pertinent documents prepared for GPA -
2019 -00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521 in accordance with the requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act after consideration of all testimonial and written
evidence submitted prior to and during the aforementioned public hearing and recommended that
an Addendum to the General Plan Environmental Impact Report be adopted for GPA -2019-
00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on GPA -2019-00360, GPA -
2019 -00495, GPA -2019-00521 on September 3, 2019;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redding
California as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Council has reviewed the proposed Addendums to the Environmental Impact
Report Prepared for the 2000-2020 General Plan and on file with the Development
Services Department for GPA -2019-00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521 and
has determined that the actions contemplated will not have an adverse impact on the
environment. _
3. The City Council hereby adopts the Environmental Impact Report Addenda for GPA -
2019 -00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521 as referred to the City Council by
the Planning Commission.
4. The City Council hereby approves the attached amendments to the General Plan Diagram
pertaining to GPA -2019-00360, GPA -2019-00495, and GPA -2019-00521 as referred to
the City Council by the Planning Commission as set forth on the map attached hereto and
made part hereof by:
