A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON NORTH BECHELLI LANE FROM
HEMSTED DRIVE TO CYPRESS AVENUE.
WHEREAS, Section 11.24.040 of the Redding Municipal Code
specifically provides that the City Council may by Resolution
designate additional areas unsuitable, dangerous, or inconvenient
for parking purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission has recommended
that City Council prohibit parking at all times on North Bechelli
Lane from Hemsted Drive to Cypress Avenue to provide adequate
lane length and assist traffic movement on North Bechelli Lane;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of the citizens of the City of Redding to adopt such
recommendation; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is
categorically exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that parking be and hereby is prohibited at all
times on North Bechelli Lane from Hemsted Drive to Cypress
Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is
hereby authorized and directed to install appropriate signs and
markings to accomplish the purposes of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 5th day of December, 1989, and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Fulton, & Carter
